Latest reports from the tinsel town suggest that now Rakesh Roshan has signed the actress for the second installment of the 2006 super hit sci-fiction film 'Krrish'.
Rumor has it that the filmmaker approached Jackie as a last minute replacement for Chitrangada Singh, who was earlier supposed to play the role in 'Krrish 2'.
Chitrangda's loss is Jacqueline's gain
Not long before, multiple tabloids had reported that Chitrangada Singh was roped in to play the second leading lady in the film. However, the 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' actor soon opted out of the project citing date issues.
Confirming reports that Chitrangada has stepped out of the film, Rakesh Roshan told Mumbai Mirror, “I was to start my film in October and took dates accordingly. Now, the film is going on floors in December and Chitrangda is having some problems with her dates then.
“She has already committed her dates to some other project in December and cannot delay it. So I am looking for some actor who can give the dates according to my schedule.”
But, the buzz has it that Chitrangada dropped the film as her role was smaller than expected. The actor had thought that her role was of a female villain, which later turned out to be a cameo.
It is said that father-son duo recently met Jackie, who has become a hot property after the 'Murder 2' success, and the meeting lasted for nearly three hours. Sources reveal, after hearing the script, Jacqueline has probably given her nod to the film.
“The meeting with Jacqueline stretched for over three hours. They discussed the script and the actress was quite keen. By the end, both Hrithik and Rakesh seemed to be quite positive about her,” a source, on the condition of anonymity, said.
No official announcements have been made till now.
Sajid and Jacqueline an item?
While B-town is abuzz with speculations of Jacqueline and Sajid Khan being the new love birds, the actress and the 'Housefull 2' director have never spoken about their rumored relationship in public.
But, recently the couple was spotted together at a sub-urban multiplex on Friday night, fanning rumors of an alleged love affair.
While Sajid seems to have sworn to maintain his ‘won’t talk about my personal life stance’ saying, “What Jacqueline and I have is my business and nobody else’s,” Jacqueline, too, has been equally mum about the secret relationship.
Interestingly, the onlookers at the multiplex said that the two seemed at complete ease with each other and were least bothered about people around.
“To us they looked quite a couple and Jacqueline was smiling all through. They seemed comfortable with the shutterbugs too,” said a source.
